Woodpeckers, New Forest

Project Overview

The replacement two storey private home is situated within rural Hampshire, right on the edge of the New Forest National Park. The scheme was designed by Ström Architects, with engineering by Barton Engineers.

The elegant design for Woodpeckers was relatively simple to construct. Built with a timber frame which was ‘stick built’ on site, wrapped with a larch cladding and generous floor to ceiling windows. Brick flooring was integrated into the ground floor, running throughout the open planned living area and through onto the outdoor terrace.
