Lode House, Cambridgeshire

Project Overview

This single storey extension added a modern, open plan kitchen and utility to the back of this private home in semi-rural Cambridgeshire. Designed by Henry Goss Architects with engineering by Gawn Associates.

Constructed with a steel frame with masonry and timber infill, with Corten cladding to the exterior and large glass sliding doors with bespoke glass to glass corner, seamlessly integrate the garden with the living space.

The canopy is angled in such a way as to offer shading in the summer months, but allow the low level winter sunshine into the kitchen.
